9700 TWS Trailer Suspension Series
9700 Tandem Wide Spread (TWS) Series suspensions are designed to meet the needs of those who require a longer wheel base to better distribute trailer weight, and to keep the gross trailer weight or the weight of each individual axle within lawful limits. A variety of hanger styles and axle configurations allow the 9700 TWS to be adapted to virtually any type of frame.
Heavy-duty three leaf or eight leaf springs are recommended for use with 9700 TWS suspensions. When equipped with these springs, the suspension capacity is 25,000 lbs./axle. When equipped with standard three leaf or seven leaf springs, the GAWR is 22,400 lbs./axle.
Product features are similar to that of the 9700 Series.
By definition, 9700 TWS Series suspensions are tandem axle units. However, multi-axle configurations – suspensions having more than two axles – are possible. A tri-axle suspension consists of a tandem axle kit plus a multi-axle conversion kit. Many such combinations are possible.
