Automatic Weld & Assembly Finish Operator

1st Shift:

Starting Pay: $18.00 / hr

6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Monday thru Thursday
*38 hours worked + 2 hours holiday = 40 hours

2nd Shift:

Starting Pay: $20.00 / hr

4:30 PM to 2:30 AM
Monday thru Thursday
*38 hours worked + 2 hours holiday = 40 hours

Position Summary:

Hang and remove parts from the paint line. Visually check welds for defects in parts. Clean all parts where needed.  Spread check the size with gauges provided. Properly hang parts on a paint line. Take parts off the paint line and sort them using numbers in ISO books. Insert bushings into bushing machines and parts. Ability to stack parts either by crates full or by orders provided by supervisor or leader. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions:

Handle parts and place them into machines as needed, chip off excess weld, slag and splatter. Visually inspect parts for conformity, place parts into a crate/hang parts on hooks, able to use an impact torque wrench. Safety-sensitive functions include machine operations. Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to two months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
